Reminiscing the year gone by, I’m overcome by a myriad of emotions. The good, the bad and the ugly were all wrapped up in one ginormous gift and handed to me. Life is but a roller coaster ride and we must run with the bulls, that I have learnt to do well. I look up thinking how beautiful nature made you, wondering at the sheer monstrosity of your ability to question my strength, my endurance, my inner voice! All this behind a sip of finely crafted wine! The nuances that go into making each bottle of wine is beautiful to understand and to know. To be completely honest, I was never a wine aficionado. The more varieties of wine I had, the more I began to appreciate it! There’s SO much to know about wine that it can be quiet intimidating to begin with. It was embarrassing to not be able to tell which wine goes with what types of food and growing up, I always imagined wine to be an “adult” drink (Don’t ask me what it means because right now I cant begin to explain it! 😉 😉 ). But as you go along, you can’t help but want to learn more about the art of wine making. What better way to start than to visit a vineyard and Newport Vineyards was our choice.
