A heart that never stops aching, a memory that will never fade, a touch you will never forget and that wet slobbery kiss you now want more than ever! Losing my four-legged baby to illness is always so hard. Conflicting emotions between wanting to relieve her off her pain but also wanting her to live a long, long life take over you. The year that was…

Reminiscing the year gone by, I’m overcome by a myriad of emotions. The good, the bad and the ugly were all wrapped up in one ginormous gift and handed to me. Life is but a roller coaster ride and we must run with the bulls, that I have learnt to do well. This past year, mistakes were made, lessons were learnt, steps were taken, descions were made, moved forward, wandered cities, laughed, lived and loved.  After all, memories are made of these! I look up thinking how beautiful nature made you, wondering at the sheer monstrosity of your ability to question my strength, my endurance, my inner voice!  Your face so high up in the clouds, looming over me, frightening me. I whisper to myself, “Can I do this?”. There is a tiny voice inside me urging me to go ahead, telling me I can do this. Goodbye, my sunshine!

Dog heaven has a mischievous new angel now! On a warm November evening, about eight years ago, we adopted a quiet, shy little puppy from CUPA(Compassion Unlimited Plus Action), Bangalore and that day, our lives changed forever! At the adoption center, where every other puppy was vying for our attention, she was tucked away in a corner easily missed if  we didn’t look too carefully. We held her in our arms and right then we knew that we wanted to give little baby with the biggest, most beautiful eyes I’d ever seen a forever home!She was such a kind and gentle (but naughty) soul with many, many adorable quirks and idiosyncrasies!
