Lugano – Swiss Sunny Side Up!

Lugano – Swiss Sunny Side Up!

The parts I knew best about Switzerland were that of the stunning Swiss Alps and those made famous by a popular 90’s Bollywood movie called  Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).  Haha!

When we planned our trip to Switzerland, it was to only explore Zurich and Lucerne. By some stroke of luck, we had an additional day to spare and had absolutely no clue what Continue reading “Lugano – Swiss Sunny Side Up!”

Iceland in September – Packing List!

Iceland in September – Packing List!

Iceland, you are beyond breathtaking. You are also the QUEEN of moody weather. For this very reason, packing for Iceland almost becomes a bit of a daunting challenge. I had so many “ifs” and “buts” while packing and trying to fit everything into the stipulated weight limit offered by WOW Air, that we ended up buying additional luggage the night before our departure. We couldn’t assess the weather because, to us, it looked like the weather changed her mind on an hourly basis. Continue reading “Iceland in September – Packing List!”

Another Year Gone By…

Another Year Gone By…

Another year has passed and I can’t help but wonder how fast the year has sped past on. Can you remember the first hour of 2018? Oh boy – I had no idea what I was in for. 😉 Continue reading “Another Year Gone By…”

Life Lessons 101 – Letting Go.

Life Lessons 101 – Letting Go.

A recent forward about how it’s best to steer clear of people who hurt you got me thinking. In retrospective, I was wondering what life threw at me these past couple of years. Life hasn’t always been a piece of cake and it got me thinking about how I let the negativity of some people affect me more than I should have let them. There were some life lessons learned and some forgotten *I’m getting older you know! 😉 *. Of the many lessons learned, one that has stuck with me for a while now, one that I would like to share, is a lesson I learned in my (very!) late 20s *ok, I was just short of being 30 when realization struck!*  and I wish I’d learned it sooner . Adieu, Juno! You are forever loved!

Adieu, Juno! You are forever loved!

A heart that never stops aching, a memory that will never fade, a touch you will never forget and that wet slobbery kiss you now want more than ever! Losing my four-legged baby to illness is always so hard. Conflicting emotions between wanting to relieve her off her pain but also wanting her to live a long, long life take over you. All I know now is that my little baby has crossed over the rainbow bridge and is happy in doggie heaven! Continue reading “Adieu, Juno! You are forever loved!”
