Life Lessons 101 – Letting Go.

Life Lessons 101 – Letting Go.

A recent forward about how it’s best to steer clear of people who hurt you got me thinking. In retrospective, I was wondering what life threw at me these past couple of years. Life hasn’t always been a piece of cake and it got me thinking about how I let the negativity of some people affect me more than I should have let them. There were some life lessons learned and some forgotten *I’m getting older you know! 😉 *. Of the many lessons learned, one that has stuck with me for a while now, one that I would like to share, is a lesson I learned in my (very!) late 20s *ok, I was just short of being 30 when realization struck!*  and I wish I’d learned it sooner . Angel’s Landing : Zion National Park

Angel’s Landing : Zion National Park

Fear is a real struggle to overcome. Fear of talking in front of large groups of people, fear of heights and worst of all, fear of getting out of your comfort zone! The list can be loooong! Although, there’s an inexplicable joy in overcoming something that deabilitates you, the road to killing THAT fear is far from easy. It’s by doing those little things and taking those little steps that make you closer to tarnishing that beast called FEAR.

I’m afraid of a great many things – one of them being HEIGHTS *yikes*. I wouldn’t say I have acrophobia but when I’m at unusually high places, my knees go weak – LITERALLY! 😉 My legs begin to tremble and the ground beneath me feels like jello! It is this trepidation, that reaching the top of Angel’s Landing seemed like a monstrosity of an experience. Continue reading “Angel’s Landing : Zion National Park”

Adieu, Juno! You are forever loved!

Adieu, Juno! You are forever loved!

A heart that never stops aching, a memory that will never fade, a touch you will never forget and that wet slobbery kiss you now want more than ever! Losing my four-legged baby to illness is always so hard. Conflicting emotions between wanting to relieve her off her pain but also wanting her to live a long, long life take over you. All I know now is that my little baby has crossed over the rainbow bridge and is happy in doggie heaven! Continue reading “Adieu, Juno! You are forever loved!”

Novembrella x JORD Watches!

Novembrella x JORD Watches!

“Time cools, time clarifies; no mood can be maintained quite unaltered through the course of hours.”- Mark Twain

Is it just me or is this year flying by?! I vividly remember the first day of 2017 like it was yesterday. *Sigh* Looking back at the months gone by, I’m amazed by the experiences gained, memories made, places travelled and most of all, fears conquered. I’m also saddened at the thought of things I could’ve done or done better. *That’s the semi-perfectionist in me talking! ;)* But HEY! Life is about wearing that perfect shade of lipstick and moving forward, right? 🙂 The only time you should be looking back is to learn from past mistakes and nothing more. Regrets have no place in our lives.

Talking about time, I’m among those who pull out their phones to check the time even when they have a watch on their hands! *Don’t ask me why I do that, I just do! =)* But when you have that beautifully crafted wood watch on your hand, that changes! A wood watch, you ask? YES!! I’m stoked to be collaborating with JORD watches! THEY MAKE THEEEEE MOST BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED WOODEN WATCHES!!

Exploring Arizona – Lower Antelope Canyon

Exploring Arizona – Lower Antelope Canyon

There comes a time in your life when you’ve seen a picture for the longest time and then BAM, you’re at that very same place experiencing what it’s like! You see a part of this beautiful, beautiful planet and the only thought running through your head is, “IS THIS FOR REAL?!”. Antelope Canyon is one such place. For all those who’ve grown up with a Windows PC, the wallpaper I’m talking about is something like this: Continue reading “Exploring Arizona – Lower Antelope Canyon”
